Singapore ICA photo for online applications
Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) requires a photograph of exactly 400 x 514 pixels for online submissions via its e-Services (passport, identity card and pass applications), in JPG, JPEG, HEIC, HEIF or PNG format, at most 8 MB. The photo must follow ISO/ICAO specifications. This tool exports the exact 400 x 514 px file on your device - nothing is uploaded.

ICA explicitly allows resizing your digital photograph with image editing software, but forbids any other alteration or enhancement - no filters and no edits to facial features. This tool only crops and resizes.
ICA recommends against selfies - ask someone to take the photo for you. Requirements checked against ICA's photo guidelines page, last updated 30 October 2026 (checked November 2026).
How to do it
- Ask someone to photograph you facing the camera with a neutral expression, against a plain light background.
- Upload it below and frame head and shoulders between the guide lines.
- Create the file - exactly 400 x 514 px, well under the 8 MB limit - and confirm the checklist.
- Download and upload it in your ICA e-Service application.
Common questions
Why exactly 400 x 514 pixels?
ICA states that photographs uploaded via its e-Services must be 400 x 514 pixels. This tool outputs exactly that size.
Can I use a selfie?
ICA says selfies usually do not meet the requirements and recommends asking someone to take the photo. It also recommends dedicated passport-photo apps for the shot itself - use this tool for the exact export size.
Can I retouch the photo?
No. ICA forbids altering or enhancing the photograph, including filters or modifying facial features. Resizing is the only permitted edit.
