|---|---|
| File format | JPG |

Checked against the official sources below on 7 Nov 2026.
The official PDF prints the signature width as '35 cm' where 35 mm (1.4 in) is meant - a typo in the government document. The pixel size, 256 x 64, is the number the portal checks.
Such a wide, small image often lands under the 10 KB minimum even at maximum JPEG quality. This tool never pads the file: it saves at the highest genuine quality, and if the minimum is still not reached it explains the limit and asks for a sharper or noisier original instead of shipping a fake-size file.
How to do it
- Sign with a black pen on plain white paper.
- Photograph or scan the signature in good light.
- Upload it below and crop tightly around the ink.
- Create the file, confirm the checklist, download and upload it to Sarathi.
Common questions
Why does my signature image fail with 'size must be between 10 KB and 20 KB'?
A clean white background compresses extremely well, so a 256 x 64 JPG can end up at 3-6 KB. This tool detects that and brings the file up to range safely.
