Croatian e-documents are applied for in person at a police station, which can often take the photo on site; if you bring your own, print this file at exactly 35 x 45 mm on glossy photo paper.
How to do it
- Take a photo against a plain light wall, facing the camera directly.
- Upload it below; place the crown at the top line and the chin at the lower line so the head fills about two thirds of the height.
- Create the file, download it, and print at 35 x 45 mm (600 dpi) on glossy photo paper - or show the file at a photo shop.
Common questions
Is the Croatian passport photo the same as the Schengen visa photo?
Very close: both are 35 x 45 mm on a light background, but Croatia sets the head at about 2/3 of the height (max 36 mm) while the Schengen band is 32-36 mm. A photo framed to this page usually satisfies both.
Can I wear glasses?
Yes if the eyes stay clearly visible with no reflection; tinted lenses and sunglasses are not allowed, and the frame must not cover the eyes.
